Setting Performance Standards for Reliability, Security, and Quality Control
Automotive Manufacturing Project Experience
Next Dimension has been engaged multiple times by automotive giants such as FCA in Canada, USA and Mexico over the last three years. Next Dimension has worked on numerous projects in support of FCA Supplier Capacity. The goals of these projects were to improve OEM performance by ensuring IT infrastructure compliance with FCA standards for reliability, security and quality control.
In addition to working with FCA, Next Dimension has worked with several manufacturers on projects of varying sizes. These projects have ranged from targeted troubleshooting and auditing to complete plant retooling, openings, and re-locations.
Supporting the Business in Addition to IT
Next Dimension is committed to supporting the business outcomes in addition to providing best in class IT support. In the automotive sector, we have experience working with the following teams:
- Capacity and Throughput
- Purchasing and Supplier Quality
- Manufacturing Engineering
In addition to supporting our manufacturing customers, Next Dimension is also a contributing member of the Automotive Parts Manufacturing Association. The APMA is Canada’s national association representing OEM producers of parts, equipment, tools, supplies, advanced technology, and services for the worldwide auto parts industry. As members of the APMA, we have the ability to keep abreast of market developments and industry innovations, and in turn, build technology roadmaps that will keep our clients ahead of ever-evolving industry demands.
A well designed IT strategic planning process has three components: an IT roadmap with prioritized projects, an ongoing review cycle, and an annual event to refine the roadmap rolling forward. With this process, we are able to align the goals of IT with the goals of the boardroom, and execute a strategy that supports successful outcomes for both.
